I did a search and didn't get the answers I needed. I have the horn ring and steering wheel nut off. I have a puller put am weary of applying too much pressure on it because I don't want to break anything. I see what looks like a star lock washer/retainer on the nut. How do I get the steering wheel off from here?

I see you're a member of the 52-59 Ford group. Ask the question there too, someone will know for sure.
It's been a while since I pulled the one on my 56 and I don't remember having any trouble with it at all.

There are two 5/16-24 threaded holes across each other next to the steering shaft. Use two bolts with a suitable puller and it comes right off.

Thanks. That was the plan but I wanted to ask first and not break anything. Well, I still may break something!
