Dash in a 1951 chevy hard top

  1. You know they repop the stock tanks now, right? Metal, plastic, original or ready for EFI. I think even in stainless also.

    From the pics, i'd say that you could leave the top, the actual "board" part of it and cut out the offending garbage just below the rolled edge. You could probably take the lower half of the new one and weld 1/2" (+ or -) beneath the rolled edge - easy to finish with plenty of strength due to the edge profile...which should minimize warpage.

    whatever you do, show pics of the resurrection!

    Ohmy****! I'm going to print out a picture of that to shut myself up every time I ***** about the yokel who took chicken wire, roof flashing and bondo to my car.
