Turning my oldest sons 70 Impala 4dr hardtop into a convert.Gotta watch what you wish for son.He-he-he!
Ive been steadly working on my 54 Chev. Converting it from a more door into a two door hardtop kustom. Chassis is away getting the Jag front end and airbags fitted. Motivation is from a supercharged GMC 270 inline six!!
Been slowly working on my 56 that I picked up a couple of years back. It looked really good, but there were buckets 'o bondo in this baby! It should hit the street next summer!
Fatnlo, I admire anyone who will take on the task of converting a 4 door to a 2 door. Lots of work. The car is looking good. I like the idea of the super charged 6 holer too. Nice work, keep us posted. TP
The stuff I'm doing right now is too boring to post pics.... Stuff like building rocker panels, floorboards and trunk floor. No glory, but shit that has to be done anyway.. -Abone.
Sammy.......been bustin ass on my old pontiac to get it presentable for the HAMB drags...yesterday, I finished up mounting the NOS left front fender. It really fits against the hood and grille a lot better than the old, rusty, patched one. Still gotta make it all one color, install new glass and flame this bee-otch.
been trying to get this on the road--had 3 speed rebuilt and added a hurst shifter-as of last night its stuck in reverse--help
Been buildin' the Jenny Pickle-O 52... Got three of the four motor/frame mounts I needed yesterday from a really cool HAMB Lurker named Don...he showed up at Dorian's durring the Telegraph Cruise and handed 'em off to me...cool guy! Got it all wired up, and the engine is arriving here this afternoon.
I picked this up about a month ago. I also recently talked to a buddy of mine who has the hood ans hood sides for it and another front axle with all the original suspension. The A axle up front alreday has discs mounted to it and there is a Furd 8" out back. Not a whole lot to start with, but could be less.
Sammy, be lookin for 'ya in Louisville. We will be there early Friday morning through Sunday. Call me on my cell (317-690-0397) and I'll see about getting you guys in like a couple years ago.
Working on another budget project, 27 T-Sedan, haven't been able to do much, hoping to get the chassis finished after the HAMB Drags, and before winter.
The 30' Model A Vicky and the 57' oval window, haven't had time to do shit lately except get ready to move. Drew
NOT SHIT!!! my compressor broke AGAIN, just a week and a half after i got it runnin again from the last time it took a flyin POO. just before the compressor went south for good my plasma cutter quite workin. it just quite, for no apparent reason. it worked one second and then the next it was brokesville!! so while i wait for the new compressor pump to come in for my compressor i've been helping Bucket~Boy work on his hot rod, seeing as he just got a new compressor. well, today all i wanted to do was relax, soak up the sunshine while i mowed my yard. i make two passes and run out of gas. DAMN IT!! i fill it back up, start her up, she runs a second and then QUITES. start it again, it quites again. over and over it does this. i figure, fuel filter is plugged up (even though i replaced it two months ago) so i snag the new clear glass filter off the motor i just built for my truck and put it on the mower. i go to start it and it does NOTHING!!! it does'nt roll over, click, spurt, sputter, NOTHING!! i hook up the battery starter, NOTHIN. i check ALL connections through out the ENTIRE wiring harness and check the one and only fuse i can find. their all good. so i figure i'll try to jump the starter. i put a big ole rim and tire on the seat (to hold down the saftey switch), help the brake lever with one hand and crossed the post with a screw driver. it rolled over but would'nt even THINK of firing. i pulled a plug, checked for spark. had it. cleaned both plugs, jump the terminals and NOTHING!! so i pour a spot of gas in the carb, cross the terminals and it starts. it runs a couple minutes, i pull out in the yard and it FUCKIN DIES!!!! GRRRR!! so i push it back in front of the garage, load the wheel on the seat, hold the brake, and jump the starter. rolls over but does'nt fire. more gas in the carb and off she goes, after a few cranks. i let her run a good 3 or 4 minutes before heading out to the yard. she's runnin good, i start to mow, make it about 50 yards and it fuckin dies AGAIN!!!!!!! I QUIT!!! ok, glad i got that off my chest. now maybe i can go out and figure out if it is the switch or the selinoid that is'nt workin. then i can replace that and THEN i can try to figure out why it won't run more than 5 minutes at a fuckin time!!!!
I'm a newbie here. These are some pictures of a 1940 ford sedan delivery that a friend and I have been working on for 2 years. We are just about done. Then the next stop is the upholstery shop.
well i cut my truck in half behind the cab to get rid of the junk that some jerkoff put together should have it runnin by the end of next week , ive already built the new frame and im startin on the link bars soon
Not much goin on in the garage right now..'cause i FINALLY got this on the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Started drivin' it last weekend and havn't stopped rollin' yet Other than that, started working on 'customer' project's to help make ends meet.
Here's the machine I'm currently wasting my time on. I've got the chassis done to the point of mounting the engine....then its lotsa body work and....(whew).... Here it is... The '48 Willys hot rod truck. Edit: AND just for the total HELL of it....below is a pic of it about 3 years ago. THANK GOD I stopped working on it back then. I had my head up my ass then. I think it looks a little better in its current form...how about you?
I've got the Hemi for Project Mojo at the machine shop...waitin' for pistons from Venolia....My next job is tackling the "shop re-organization"....I'm moving out EVERYTHING so I can epoxy coat my floor, build one wall to divide off the parts department from the machine shop/frame jig area. It's been tuff since I'm a professional tourist and this Peterbilt I live in hasn't seen the house for two weeks...I'm REALLY gonna get a real job one of these days (again!)....
dont have my project car yet but i do have the engine which i just finished its a 327 bored .060 over, crank had to be turned 10/20, the came is comp cams 12-210-2 single patern cam wiht .454 lift and i think 268 degrees of lobe seperateion, flat top pistons, 461 heads ( need to be rebuilt i have 881's on it right now). performer rpm intake with a holley 600 cfm single pumper to top it off. here it is i got it free with the camel hump heads from an old jeep that was givin to my dad and he gave me the engine. befor i had the motor i had a 283 and i was getting parts for it. but since the 327 is a nice motor i started puttin the parts in it. it took me a long time to build it.
