I just finished a Mustange II frount end and I now realize that my cab mounts need to be replaced. I was thinking of using Mid-Fifties complete kit. A good one? Also, do I have to take the cab off or can I do this by raising the cab at each corner. Any advise will be helpful.

The rear ones can be replaced by placing a bottle jack carefully at the pinch weld seam to take the weight off of the rear arm ***embly. Remove one arm & push out the old rubber and steel sleeve from each end. Replace the rubber with a piece of 5/8" heater hose. You will have to liberally coat the hose with lubricant or dish washing detergent.
Squeeze the sleeve and hose into the arm as an ***embly with a C-clamp.

Bolt the re-bushed arm ***'y back into the frame and then the body. Some twisting will be required because of the rubber bumper into frame's mount.
Do one side then move the jack to the other side & repeat those operations.

The front cab cushions can be subs***uted with a Flathead motor biscuit. I used a bottle jack & a pipe of pipe resting at the base of the fender mounting bracket to raise the front of the cab enough to replace that cushion.

Mid-fifties is excellent quality if you go that route. My cab was removed when I replaced mine, but Bucksters process looks like a better solution for yours.

    BTW - Nice truck.

Thanks for the help. I think I will wait until I have finished with the rear suspension. I feel that the truck might settle a little more after doing the upgrade. This way the truck has found its resting place. I hope that this is a good idea.
