I was looking around for something old and different to use for a shifter knob. I can across this late 40's early 50's microphone on e-bay. I love it and it works well with the dash. Just thought I would share my find with everybody.

Very cool. I thought about painting it to match the dash like you did. Still might do it.

Well, you found something different that everyone else doesn't have. But I wonder how comfortable it is. I ***ume its an automatic and don't have to move it much.

Yes it is an auto but on the same note it really does fit the hand quite well.

I wouldn't paint it. Looks nice the way it is. I also like those old beer tapper handles.

I really like it. I'd like to use one if I get the chance. For now I'll use the gl*** door knob trick.

What shifter rod do you have and how did you match threads of mic and shifter?

The shifter is just a cheap B&M shifter, I don't remember the model. I just took a cheap plastic knob and took the insert out and fixed it into the base of the microphone. The more I drive the car the more I love it.
