I like it. I don't see anything in the pics that is a deal breaker for me, depending on the price. I love the skirts, don't hate the continental kit...it flows good. I like the front end. I can live with the color. Not crazy about the 70's/80's front seat and steering wheel, but my Merc came with similar details and I will change them out as time and money allow. I say buy it and drive the wheels off it.

Very East Coast. Makes me feel like I'm back home in northeast Ohio at a KKOA show with my Dad circa 1990.
If you like it, buy it.

If the price is fair I'd love to own it. Drive it while you make some simple changes like the steering wheel and tail lights. Then turn it into a real jaw dropper with a chop and an abalone white top and a touch of pearl. That car has a ton of potential

I like it! Looks like it should be rolling around Brooklyn in the late 50's.

Here we go again, "Oh, not THAT color!" Lavender was a serious custom color in '54-'56.
    It was the era...

Just because the color is the rite "era" doesn't make it any prettier, no wonder it was only popular ( maybe in your area only) for 2 years!

front modifications look good, everything else... not so much. Has a bad case of "east coast" going on.

  9. It looks like it should say "earth angel" or some **** like that on that continental kit.

I love it! Buy that s.o.b.... the skirts are off the chain!!....Have been working on a 54 that my son owns. It's got extended 1/4s & a continental also, built in the mid to late 50s.(check Crazy Legs profile for pics)

  13. Now that you've teased us with pictures, is it for sale or is this dreaming and speculating on your part.
I like the car just as shown.
I too would love a custom like that
Are we selling or just fishing?

  14. Did you buy it? Bringing it to Salina?

I am loving the '53 Vickies.

I like it a lot more now, seeing it outside. I'd still probably change a few detail things, but overall, it's a pretty good looking car.
