Dose anybody know anyone who makes fendewell exit headers for 62-65 fairlanes with Fe or bbf engines ,or do I have to have somebody make them .
Used to be that the header manufacturers would custom make you about any combo you desire....give your favorite a call
I ran into the same problem with a small block Mopar in a fat fender car. Contacted a couple header shops and a one off set to my specs would have been expensive. Luckily the small block Chevy has the basic same exhaust port layout, so I got a new set of Patriot fenderwell headers that fit a Chevy motor. Cut and made them fit a mopar flange.
there's a bitchin set on ebay right now, ends today, current bid is 76 bucks.. 385 series motors, 2" primary, 3.5" collector.
LOL I lost by 180. You can buy a kit for less than 200. Mad dog makes headers for 375. I am going to try them.
I talked to a guy with a big FE in a Henry J. I've never seen fender well headers for an FE he said they were big block Chevy they used a FE flange and welded the Chevy headers to it had to spread the two center a little bit they sure looked good. Jim
I was looking on speedway and found a set of universal fender well headers that fits BBC I also noticed that the exhaust spacing is close.I might cut the flange off and put a bbf flange on .. for 200 dollars u can't go wrong they have 2 inch primarys and 3 and a half inch collectors not bad for the money so what do Yall think
This is a picture of a picture but this is the Henry J I was talking about. Big block Ford with big block chevy fender well headers modified to fit big Ford. Hope this helps for you to see it works. Jim
I think that is the beat way to do it without alot of work.Just cut off the chevy flange and the ford one with some short stubs aimed to fit the chevy tubes.
I bought blue thunder heads the have Chevy exhaust ports . Then I just bought a set of bbc nova headers
