The view most of the competition got of Neil Leffler's A comp Bantam coupe. The engine from this car became one half of the Leffler & Coburn "Iron Mistress".
Am I wrong? Again? In the early 60s I ran an Altered coup. I burned gas. If I had burned pop it would have been a Fuel coup. These cars pictured here would have been Comp Coups. As I remember.
You are correct Rich. Gasoline and 25% engine set back= altered. Fuel & 25% set back fuel coupe, or fuel altered. Over 25% set back= comp coupe. The same rules for roadsters.
Yo Baby, the 15oz is ready to make a pass, but some of the guys are under the weather. Think good thoughts for them. When the car is going to run, I'll post pics and info. In May, the car had a wet cylinder.
Cool CP i cant wait i'm following this car car in posts on here plannin a simmilar build, for Nhra AC specs.
15oz coupe ran at bakersfield this weekend, broke bottom blower hub and pitched belt but sounded good. Les says they will be back in march.I don't know how to add pics yet but have some
Any updates, more pics , more videos on the Nitro sucking , bone rattler drag coupe survivor? Absolutely sensational. I've watched the 08 Bakersfield video countless times.
Without going into to much detail, I used to play on the 15oz as a child. Imagining that I was a driver, endless thoughts of time, stopped; Then vanishing into the reality that breakfast was ready. I miss Big Mike too. RIP. J
