I scored a nice set of 1932 Arkansas license plates from a fellow HAMBer. They were never issued and came in the original brown paper wrapper. Unfortunately, water apparently got inside and the tissue separating the two plates adhered to the back of one and the front of the other. When they came apart the paint came off as well. So I have a solid, rust and pit free set of plates that need to be restored. A web search returned a number of "hits" on people that do this. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I had nice orig plate. Removed orig paint, found spray can match, then had sign painter do the highlights. Total cost $20.00. Bob
There is a guy here in Conway that does them as well. Very reasonable and does nice work. He did my gas pumps for the office as well. Lee Lawson is his name. Send me a pm and I can give you his number.
I have a real good friend who does tag restos. He does 100's a year. Wins awards at tag shows and alot of collectors around here use him. PM me if you would like his number.
