That is one bitchin ride. alwys loved those oddball 58s, those and the Olds. If you are really set on the bellflowers at least tuck them under the fenders like in the old days, they would look rather awful stickin out the sides.
Great rare 58, these are so awesome. It looks really sweet, you really hit a home run here. Thanx for sharing! ~sololobo~
LOVE THE CAR!! may I ask what the specs are on the tires? i'm running 750x14s and want something closer to 560s... wondering what you have there they look a little shorter then mine.
I forgot that the 58 is my favorite car. Now i will be obsessing, scheming, and searching. Only to realize a couple weeks from now that it just ain't going to happen. Great looking car!
Great looking car bro! I've been working on my 58 about 8 yrs now. looks like you got a handle on things but if you ever need naything hit me up. I notched my frame the thickness of the frame and tunneled my drive shaft to get a few more inches in back and a my steering links were hitting the frame in front so notched frame a hair and got about another inch in front. Frame is actually on the ground now. Yours is looking killler tho please keep us updated. I never did a built thread on mine because its taking me sooo long to do. **Also great to here everyone give props to the 58 buick. (sorry old picture)
Your 58 are looking great! you have done some nice work there! The only thing i have done is to remove the big strike through rubber at the rear axle, but i got the small ones left, so its about 1cm between the frame and rear axle. In the front did i cut some around where the airbags is, and then i had to rebuild the inner fenders because the tire was against it at the top I will update when i get the bellflowers! or if i do something else of value course. (Hope you understand, sorry if my english is bad) Thanks to you all, glad you like it !! //Ken
This is how it looked like when i bought it in April 2010, It was imported to Sweden in 2005 from New York i think. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=32133&pictureid=382035
Okey, I have bought my bellflowers now, but they where to long for my taste, so i will order 24" instead of the 30" i got now.
Sick car dude! I echo the comments about running Supremes and pins with the bellflowers, or at least some reversed steelies. Looks great regardless..
I have ordered a new air compressor for my air ride, i dont really like those viair 480c, makes alot of noise and arent that quick to fill my 5 gallon tank.. so i ordered this: http://www.extremeoutback.com/product/13/ExtremeFlow+Belt+Drive+Compressor+V-BELT.html and here is one picture from the Power Big Meet: And my new 24" bellflowers are also ordered. //Ken
Looks cool. Share some pictures of how you mount it. I agree about the viairs. I have 2 480's too and a lot of my friends use them. I hate how loud they are so I rubber mounted them. You can stand right next to the car and carry on a conversation with NO problem and with the back seat in it is crazy quite. My car is at a buddy's house right now but next time I'm over there I'll take a few pictures.
I would not touch it. it looks bitchen now. classic look for a car that is not normally seen. keep it low, simple and classic looking like it is now.
I am interested in hearing how the new system works for you. I need to buy my compressors and tank but I need to learn more before I pull the trigger.
