..............keep an eye out for this dude. I talked with him at the Autorama. He said they are running a Doug Nash 5 speed and were running about 2 mph under the existing record in 4th! They misscalculated and didn't use fifth gear!! Should bust it this year??

Jen & I will be there again this year. Driving a late model again, since I had a job change back in May and unable to work on the Model A. I think that the un-official HAMB place to meet is right past the pits at the 4th mile is the HAMB gathering place. Pork, when are you guys leaving? Jen and I are leaving on Thursday morning around 1am (best time to see western Kansas) and we are hiking Moab before the salt. I will PM you my cell phone number. Don't forget to toss in some thick old towels to duct tape to your floorboards to keep the salt out of your vehicles carpet. Just shake it out at the end of the night, also for the "rentals" from salt lake that is a way to "Hide" that from them.
I'm planning on being there Monday/Tuesday, just as a spectator. I'm taking a roadtrip to New Mexico, and am going to come by on my way back. If anybody's got floor space Monday or Tuesday night, I'd be happy to buy you dinner or some beer for enough room to roll out a sleeping bag.

I had two Angioplaty's 5 1/2 hours of heart surgery! The last guys @ UCLA found the problem that Kaiser couldn't!! I have gone from " Left to Die" fo fine but still a bit weak I'll be OK to drive... Just sit there and push the loud peddle!

That machine belongs to my buddy Jeff Seliga from here in the Phoenix area. He drives that bastard everywhere. He should be out on the salt with it again this year. I had hoped to caravan out with him, but I can't get the time off from work (rats!).
This year's trip to speed week will be the maden voyage for Mike's (Salt Flat Addict's) modified (rather he likes it or not, it's going!). Mike's Hot Rod as well as The Green Grenade, The F-bomb, Lucy Quipment, The Salt City Special and The Panic Attack will all be making the 1 1/2 hour drive west. All bias plys pounding the pavement early Friday morning. We may even be able to talk Woody into bringing The Idiot Magnet out on Saturday night... who knows??? See you guys there... LP
