Hodad's is pretty good, you're right. Give a try to "Rocky's" Crown Point on Ingraham in Pacific Beach , sometime. Tasty burgers! :)

No pic but Kay LaMay in Middletown and Meridan CT for killer steamed cheese burgers, heavy on the extra sharp cheddar and onion. yum yum, may need a roadtrip soon!

Their ex-bartender took care of a few "rods" back in the mens room :D and was handing out free drinks, and got busted on Food Network's "Mystery Diners" show. Huge beer menu (even PBR ;)) Lot of Burger choices: http://bigearlsgreasyeats.com/earls_menu/lunchdinner

In-N-Out for me. But before them, it was Ingram's Chili Bowl in Santa Rosa. They had the best damn burger around. My favorite from there was the El Dorado Special. It was an open faced cheeseburger covered with chili and onions, with hash browns on the side. The chili was amazing. They closed up in 2000 and I still crave their burgers. . .

Hands down my favorite place was Bob's Beef Burger, Arcadia California. It's extinct now

Mazooma mentioned Taco Lita on the first page - another great place - been around forever.

.. and you cant beat the Bob's Big Boy in Burbank Ca for atmosphere.
