Event Coverage Goodguys DES MOINES - Another RECORD YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it was another record year for car count in Des Moines. Simply said, you guys rock!

The weather was pretty damn hot, but still tolerable and I even had fun after taking 25 hours to get there after an emergency landing in Denver complete with firetrucks and ambulances!

Cool pics. Any idea what was under the hood of the Volvo? I assume with rear tires that wide and the bulge in the hood that it wasn't sporting the original B18 or B20 4 cylinder.

What was the number of cars ?

I don't know the exact number, but as of the end of the day Saturday the count was only 21 away from the record and they registered another couple hundred on Sunday. My personal guess would be over 4000.

 

It's a great fairgrounds, perfect for cruising or looking...it's no wonder it's a new record...it's just too bad the humidity is so bad in the Midwest...!!!

Great to have finally have met you Kirk. we had a great time hanging with Bob K all weekend and Ben D and Missy. It was sad to see the weekend come to an end but thats life. See you at KC GoodGuys???

Thanks for the pic's man! It WAS frickin hot Saturday-but this show has gotten progressively better over the last 5 years and the quality of the rides certainly does as well! Maybe next year I'll take Beasty for the day
