check out this bad*** machine. she's pretty much done now (she's road ready that is). Dans' been building it for just under a year now. you shoulda seen what a heap this thing started out as. the man is a magician!!. a 4" chop on the 39 cab and 8" out of the bed are about the extend of the modifications to the body. check out the "grain door" that was put into the tailgate back when this truck was serving duty on the farm . shes dropped nice and low in the front with a dropped axle and disc brakes. the 9" out back is held up by a pair of mini van leaf springs and some "helper" air bags in case Dan wants to haul his home built SBC powered motorcycle anywhere. there is a modified Rock Valley stainless gas tank under the old barn wood bed floor too. motorvation comes from a 3 duece equipped 305 backed by a Corvette Munci 4 speed. that is till he's done building the bored out 283 he has on the stand for it. the bark comes from a pair of good old fashioned Cherry Bomb gl*** packs and boy does she sound SWEET! so what do you think of Dan's old farm truck? she'll be haulin more *** than hay from now on but that don't meen Dan won't use her like a truck if the need arises.
holy smokes! Old Dan doesn't mess around does he. Seems like he just started it. Hey that tri power sure looks familiar Tell him I said it looks great Mike. Or if he's is lurking.....Great job Dan!
These are by far my favorite trucks straight from the factory. A nice chop like this one and drop it like he did, and viola! Intant cool!
Dude, that truck is *****EN! I like it... it has fenders, when everyone has to take the fenders off of Rudy trucks... it has a little Patina, not faked... it has a SBC, tastefully done with stock valve covers and a 3 x 2... and the crowning touch is a set of five spokes and a killer stance! Oh... and lets not forget the grain gate in the tail gate... is that what it was? So cool! Sam.
That truck looks awesome! What did he do with his inside door panel? I cant quite make it out in the pic? Are both like that? I dig the tailgate. Thanks for sharing the pics.
he got a couple leftover/old signs from the grain elevator down the road and used them as door panels. he WAS gonna use em to make a ****** cover but then thought they would fit the doors. and they did. both doors are the same. he still has'nt figured out what to do for a ****** cover yet. he's had lots of good ideas but has'nt decided on one yet. that is indeed a REAL old grain door in the tailgate. some people hate it but i think it is GREAT!! JEEM, it would take 400 years to get this kind of "patina" where you live . you have to come up this way for that kinda rust.
I love big *** fenders awesome truck. My buddys got one and Im way envios not nearly as nice. I ***ume you can pick up extra fenders for a song with all the pepole out there not running them anymore.
