The 401,(plus 40 thou),nailhead is going into the Chev Ute, we need a set of block hugger headers. Does anybody have feedback on the Sanderson units?.. or any others that are available in the US? We have tried some Mexican brand through Rocket in industries here in Australia but they got sent to the place that they deserved. We are chasing a good fitment and finish, ceramic coating would be a bonus. any feedback appreciated

    Thanks for looking .... .......ap

Don't have block (hugger) headers, but have a pair of Sanderson Highboy's on the coupe. I've been very happy with their quality.

  3. I've had a set of Sanderson Block huggers on my 350 for 3 years now with no problems.

I highly recommend Sanderson headers, they made a custom set for my Willys and I am very happy with them!

Have a set that came with my '54 Bel Air. After climbing the "no gasket" learning curve, I love them. Probably would've been better had I bought them new and had literature.

  7. I've used Sanderson block hugger headers "shorties" on my 390 FE Ford big block.///They supplied a black silicone gasket material in a tube to be used between the flange and the cylinder head....I used a solid copper gasket instead from Summit Racing...The headers were top quality units and worked very well...12 years later, they are still on the engine and are just fine....no worries about Sanderson products !!

  10. About the best you can buy other than total custom made. Had a cast set on a sbc, vry nice fit and finish and loved them. A few bucks more than some, but quality all the way. ~sololobo~

My brother has a set in his 56 New Yorker with a 354 Hemi that have been in the car for 15 years. He has nothing but good things to say about them. He took one out the other day to do some engine work and I was looking at the quality and they look well built.
