Looking for a shop within 2-3 hours from me (Pikeville Kentucky in the far far far eastern tip of Kentucky) that can narrow a rerend I have in a 52 Panel Truck. Will also change the gear while I'm at it.

Its a GM disc brake rearend. I have it installed in a finished vehicle and have a lot of money in it so I would like to have it shortened about 1-2 inches per side. Just trying to get a little less backspacing on my wheels.

Moser Engineering is in Portland Indiana ... about maybe 300 miles ???

Very well known rear end folks ... and reasonable on the money also. :D

Last 3 sets of axles I ordered from them,,,, 2 of them I have had to cut to get them to fit. Last night we went to install a pair of custom axles from them. 12 bolt 30 spline center with big bearing Ford rear ends, p***enger side slid right in, drivers side needs to be cut 7/8". Double checked our specs, dead on. I would suggest NOT using Moser.

"Maranatha car crafting" Spencer In. ph#812 829 2176. 30 miles s/w of Indy. Jeff Carlson can do anything rear end wise. It would be worth the trip!

  8. I am way off from Kentucky or I would offer to do the job for ya.

Something to think about is that you will need to shorten the axles and those axles are probably stepped and won't shorten. So while you are buying new axles you should consider a C-Clip eliminator kit.

Something else to think about is that the whole rear will need to come out of the truck to do the job and you can save a little if you pull it out yourself and just deliver the rear end to whomever.
