The weather here in SW Montana can change in a moments notice. At our over a "mile high" static elevation, it can be quite drastic. So I guess you have to just do what you have to do to enjoy yourself sometimes. And this particular day was one that we all know so well. You wake up and feel that irresistable urge to slam gears in your hot rod. For a mul***ude of reasons its a damn good release of frustration. Looking out the window you are bummed to see that the weather is not the best suited to do such activities in your open wheeled, Hemi powered, mostly sealed up coupe. But, like most of you would do, I crawled in.... and had myself one of the best days of bangin gear in a long, long time. I attached some pics that my buddy and fellow hot rodder Matt snapped outside of his house. Just thought I would share my therapy with all of my like minded friends. Tap'er light, Hack
took my 53 out in the rain today ...slick oilseeped roads gave my 235 at least another a nother1000HP was cool anyways .
Damn...I wanted to go with you. Sounds like a blast. I bet your T coupe causes mul***udes of Hambers to make a resolution to build one for themselves. It's sure doin' it for me.
Hack, your ride is sweet as hell! What good is a car if you are afraid to use it? Glad to see things that get used.
Did that once and bent 3 wheels, ladder bar crossmember and an oil pan. Maybe I should have stopped at 3rd gear. Love your T!
not really a hot rod... but a couple weeks ago, Wednesday was a local group I cruise with's, day to cruise... my 75 year old mom was at my house & I was hoping to take her with... BTW... I'm currently driving a 1938 Nash Lafayette survivor condition ( er well the vacuum wiper motor still has not gotten any attention, so I Rain Ex heavy ), just before we left, it started raining pretty hard ( of course I got wet ) but pulled the car into the garage so mom & wife could stay dry... we were cruising to a small town about 35 miles one way for me, & it poured, really heavy the whole way there... Rain Ex did it's job, but the 38 Lafayette's didn't have defrosters, so I was wiping the fog all the way... we got to the burger joint, & here I was the only one that drove their old car... all the regulars were there, they drove their daily drivers... I'm one of the newer members so I got bonus points... my mom got a big kick out of the trip... it poured all the way home as well... by the time we got back home ( a couple hours ) we had gotten 2.5" of rain... the old gal ran perfect only issue was a soaked gas peddle foot ( right under the cowel vent ) note to self... get a new gasket for that vent, or wear sandals when its pouring & you're driving the "old car"
