I shot these at the Blessing of the Cars today.

The guys at Starlite Rod & Kustom prevailed and got a ton of stuff finished in time to make this show.

The fresh primer shot very late last night got bake on in the 100 + degree weather. It was a really good show this year.

Anyway here's what it looks like now, since roughly two months ago when I last posted pics.

The computer 3D is just a reminder of what this things going to look like when it's finished

I made a pattern from plexiglass and fiberglass, and then had them cast. I'm going to produce them for sale. I'm glad you dig them.KK

I am truely amazed at how well that roof works with that body style. I have a '53 and I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes. Can't wait to see more progress.

The real pics of the roofline look better than the rendering. I wasn't sold on the design until now. Very Galaxie-esque to be sure, thanks for keeping us updated.

No, I have Fatmans Rack'n Pinion steering conversion. It uses a '89 Chevy Caviler box. The motor mounts are stock Y-block mounts turned backwards to set the motor back.

I'll be honest I wish I had done a Heidt Mustang II converion or a Jaguar XJS front clip. The Fatman kit has really limited turning radius.

The trans is a Ford Toploader 4 speed backed by a narrowed nine inch.

I used to have a '54 two door Ranch Wagon, I sold it when I found the Vicky.

If you have any more questions I can help you out with let me know. KK

The "Galaxie-esque" style top is one of the big reasons that I love the concept. I'm really into Concept style kustoms and it looks like Keith is going to hit a home run with his '54.

Hey Keith, I'll try to give ya a call this afternoon.......

    Happy Trails,

I was complimented on having a Ford in a Ford all day Sat,
so I'm glad I put the FE between the frame rails, but because I have one sitting in my back yard, it came very close to getting a 500 Caddy dropped in it.

The fact that a FE motor is a direct bolt in, and that I literally tripped over the 406 Tri-Power manifoild and carb set up that I bought, was the determining factor. It has a big RV cam in it with narrowed lobe centers so it sounds lumpy, but is really smooth and decent on gas.

I'm totally jonesing to drive it. KK
