Got the exhaust finished on the R-p/u, Dad says it reminds him of church..lol Gotta wonder what it will sound like!!
The mufflers are spintech, slightly modified... we cut the orig. exit tube off, filled the hole and put three pipes in each. the bends exiting the mufflers are each 3 seprate pieces welded together... it was a bitch to get them all straight.... Clark that's funny shit!!lol We are currently booking in advance hehehe The last picture is the best I have for now of the hanger I made....
Herman Munster called...he wants his bagpipes back!!! looks killer, Matt...it'll sound killer, I'm sure!!
BTW, the trailer hitch is leaving the truck....they just couldn't get along....I sent them to theropy and everything!!!
The hitch is leaving?? It would be a shame to hang a tag there and hide that rear and pipes. Where are you gonna put the tag? We used a lakes pipe cover to hide the receiver on my pos RPU maybe you could use something small to cover it....cool belt buckle..tag topper....just about anything cool. There's a lot of cool shit going on in the back. The ribbed roof in the tailgate. The drilled hinges. That truck is gonna be killer! Clark
IF we were to keep the hitch, there would have to be some sort of ball detent thing (think ratchet ball) that could install in a cover,,,whatever that may be.... Clark you have my mind turning !!hehehe I'm thinking something sort of Art Deco (sp) kind of stuff....hmmmm Thanks Clark!! The tag really doesn't fit anywhere else... does it..
That's absolutely fantastic !!! Those pipe are too cool and I wish I could hear the music they make...always wanted to hear the Ardun-powered Chrisman Coupe once in a lifetime...
You're not gonna like this suggestion but the lines on the tailgate might be cool if they follow the pattern of the pipes. Retractable tags are so 80's street rod but it may be your best bet. Hang it off to one side. Hanging it off to the side takes away from the sleekness of the truck and the tailgate is too cool too touch. Clark
Ahhh, Finally Clark we disagree....in a sence (sp) .... Dad is thinking a retradtable off to one side... mechanical of course, w/o the hitch I was thinking he could have the plate in the receiver while driving it, then take the palte off and put a sort-of bumper-ett in the receiver to fill the hole while parked and add to the rearend and exhaust?? is that too much flare??
Now you're talkin! A small push bar in the receiver for shows and the tag for the highway! How about a round reciver so it doesn't look so much like a trailer hitch. It would still work for pulling light loads. Clark
round was talked about today... things on this truck are ever-changing... nothing is ever set in stone
Well the hitch is gone, Dads buddy Jeff just filled the hole... but I really like the push bar idea The license plate will have dzus fasteners riveted to it where the stickers are suppose to go...to lock it up.. just trying to figure out if it will be spring loaded to keep it down or have some sort of locking hinge thing?
That looks sweet man. Could you come and work my pipe like that also!? I am still unsure what to run on the Tommi Gunn as of yet. Any ideas? Seacrest out!!!
Matt, how much to book your "organ" in advance? You are multi talented. I thought you only manhandled sticks.
