And I'm not talking about when you were young... Does anybody still make skinny ( 6-preferred or 7 inch wide) cheater slicks? I remember seeing pics of old drag cars with these skinny slicks and haven't been able to find anything narrower than an 8" slick. I'm looking for something that will fit on a '40 Ford wheel (16") without being way too wide for the wheel. Any ideas? r
Hurst does. They make a 16x6" slick and they are awesome from what I can see. I'm getting a set for my 32 when the time comes. Hurst probably makes a 15" too.
Honest Charlie used to sell them, I had a pair. Had just enough tread to be street legal. Talk to Coker.
Radir makes a 7.75, it's a 7" tread. They're only 26 1/2" tall though. http://www.radirwheels.com/slicks.htm
Raven i'm keen to know aswell. Ideally in a slick and a full treaded pattern. I'm after some that will fit a stock steel 6" rim for a car that will only be running a 4 pot so don't want to over tyre the car. The closest i've seen are these and they look exactly what i'm after, is this the thing your after? Sorry to pinch the pic from another thread but still unsure what size etc these are. Bitchin car, thats why i had the pic saved. Hopefully the owner may chip in. Dan
