1939 Pontiac trunk weather stripping?

    The 39 body manual seems to indicate the rubber weather stuff is glued to the lid on the Deluxe Coup...but it also shows rubber stuff on the body. So, which is it? Or is it both lid and body weather stuff? What? reply rwruther@wowway.com Thanks ever so much.

    It's on the lid, the lip of of the trunk opening, lines up with the center of the weatherstrip channel on the trunk lid. I agree it looks odd to have an open channel on the body, but the weatherstrip stays cleaner hanging...
