what is a hotrod?

215 Olds/Buick/Rover fits better and is lighter in an MGB.

 

thats the point I was making, same reason to put a big V-8 in the MGB, it's fun as hell to step on the gas,thats why!

 

The same question for me? I have a rusty ch***is, a flathead and half a body, what the hell is a hot rod? Someday I will know!

I see a lot of cars called hot rods on here that are not even close,just because you put an old motor in an old car and pull off the fenders does not make it a hot rod.
A Lot of the cars on the HAMB called hot rods are really just customs chopped ,channeled,lowered with chrome and finned aluminum on the motor .Most of them couldn't outrun a modern v6 sedan from stop light to stoplight.
If you built it for looks it's a custom ,if you built it to race its a hot rod.
