just got in from the UK supernats......met loads of great people over this weekend...taildraggin and daisy, koppak, limey, flat ernie , mart, ratty...the list goes on....we actually managed to get a forum meet up in my booth this afternoon now for a few pics....not as many as usual , just didnt get the time.....these were my favourites
Nice stuff, Tim. I wanted to get there 'cos I've got an A flywheel on my floor for the owner of this roadster... I love the safe storage of booze....
Good to see you again today.....even though it was a short visit! glad you took some pics i didn't take any this time. Kev.
I forgot my camera as well! Sorry I had to rush off during the forum meet - finally got linked up with the guys buying some of my junk - for a change, I went home with more money than I came with, so it was a success - even if I didn't bring the '34 out... You got Mart's best side again. EDIT - There's some more pics over on the UK NSRA site: http://www.nsra.org.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14318
Great weekend, nice to put some names to faces now. Daisy had big problems on the way home the fuse blew on her wireless
Great pic's, good to see 32 Limey's 'new' '39 in a different country, I know he was getting worried it wasn't gonna make it in time....
What a unique T-bucket rear-end approach! Especially considering the gazillions that have been built. I like everything about it: the Cad taillights, mounting the gas tank in the turtle deck, hanging the spring out back, and the icing on the cake is the carbon on the body behind the headers!!
My camera packed up after a couple of shots , is it ok with you guys if I raid a few to show round ? Good to put some faces to names sunday too , who'dve thought we'd all have been so ugly ?
For me, one of the nicest cars was Jim's '32 - can't be a big-inch, blown flatty in a home-sprayed, candy-flake '32 roadster! Pictures don't do this thing justice.
With you on that one Ernie , first blown flattie I've seen over here . Bet he's still cleaning dubious looking stains off it
No doubt, Ratty! Good to meet you on the Sun, BTW. Had a good chat with Jim Sat night under the "Tree of Nostalgia" - a few details are a little foggy from excess beer (is there such a thing?), but I recall 314cu" & 7psi...he claims he's not going to run it on the strip anymore. He's building a purpose-built drag car... Bet he runs it if he gets to the strip in it! Eh, Jim??
Glad you guys like it, means alot after all the late nights and early mornings of blood, sweat and tears that went into it. Thanks for posting the pic Ernie. Your probably right about racing it, i just cant help myself. But i will probably be running 17 seconds due to the amount of paint that went on
