Bought one of my dream cars, a ´55 Chevy

A little update on the projekt,

I am getting it ready for the Swedish registration, and when I started poking around in the car I realized that the electrics have not aged with digninty, so last week I ordered a new electric system hopefully it will arrive this week.
And today I recieved a package from Ecklers with the brake parts I need to fix the brakes.
I also think that I must change the 396 for a small block to get it through the registration.
Thats is where I am right now.

Just make sure you can go back to big block power. Once youve been pressed back in the seat with big block torque only the stoutest of small blocks will ever satisfy you again. It is a delightful way to be spoiled though.

 

So a update on the car,

Just rolled the car out of the garage today to check how it sits with the straigt axle in place, I am very pleased with the "stance"
It´s not driveable at the moment but there is not that much left to do before I can test drive it.
