My front engine mounts disintegrated into an indistinguishable m*** of goo. Are new ones available somewhere? The ones I've seen on e-bay don't look like mine. I could not find them on Chevy's of the 40's either. Here is a picture of the two clips left on the front cross member. I hope I attach the picture correctly
This was bugging me so I went out and inspected this again. There was a long bolt that goes all the way through the front cross member. and bolts into the bottom half of the mount. The service manual neglects this task so it wasn't clear to me. I'm still looking for a recommendation on a supplier. The originals look square but the ones on e-bay are round. I'll check NAPA and Autozone tomorrow.
