After doing some reseach I have found that the frame for a 55 F100 is to flex. I have a Mustang II front end with a 302 and a C4. It has been boxed in the front, but does the frame need to be stiffen in other locations? It seems that the cab is flexing more and makes noises when cornering and hitting bumps in the road. I plan on replacing the cab mounts. If I change the rear to a 4 bar what bracing will I need? According to F100Central the frame has to be stiffen with this setup. Thanks!

  2. How about I make a guess hear and also a question. To make the motor instalation easier the crossmember that used to be the stock Trans mount was cut out. That would be the one directly in line with the front Cab Mount brackets.

I will check that this weekend. I did put a new ****** mount but I think it is not in line with the cab mounts. If is not is there a way to reinforce that area?
    Thanks for replying!

  4. If in fact the Factory trans mount crossmember has been cut out, the best way to re inforce is to replace it or build another to do the same job. The cab mount brackets are just a big lever hanging off the frame. Boxing the frame in that location will not fix the issue I believe your having.
