    Looking for a picture of a dragster tommy ivo driver with finned magnesium rear wheels saw it on the hamb maybe black and white . Thanks

    Geez, is there anything you don't have pictures of?

    Just a thought, were those regular wheels of the time, but reversed?

    I think they were made by a company called Safety Racing.

    Thanks Mazooma1 just picked up a pair for my vintage fed i have only ever seen them on that car. thanks again and they are safety rims.

  14. Speedway Motors has owned all all the tooling for the Safety Racing wheels for over 25 years...but I don't think Speedy Bill has any plans for manufacturing them.

    IIRC, those were Exhibition Engineering wheels. They were on Seatons Shaker at some point as well, couple other cars I cant think of right now...

    I did a search on google and can not find anything on a Exibition engineering wheel co. I have never seen or heard oh this? Does anyone have info or pics of there wheels?
     
  19. I think they were actually sprint car wheels or that was the original intent then the diragster guys started using them.

    the dragster can bee seen makeing some passes in the movie. "It's a bikini world ". filmed at Lion's Drag Strip
    very nice filming you can really look the car over it is from 1964 "it's a bikini world" another moment of higher learning from my youth there is abubble top dragster white in color the guy is pushed up in and then gets in the ivo dragster,

    The cars in Mazooma's photo are from '68-69, judging from their wheelbase. Cars were short in '64.
