Gas monkey garage

i was looking at another hot rodders.forum and there seems to be alote of haters of the owners of gas monkey garage.i dont know them i have seen the show i like it for the cars.not the show. anyone have any thoughts about those guys?

 

I like the cars too but I think Richard is a prick. The other main guy is hilarious. But Richard annoys me

I know what a grease monkey is but a gas monkey...is this like a chimp that ate the beans or what?

I watched this show a few times. This show is like a hack masters party. A lot of butchery going on. I'm not so sure where the heck these guys find all these mopes who are walking around with a pound of twenties in their pockets either. Maybe the acting school for info mercial wanna be's.

Some of the coin these guys are pulling for these rolling turds is just hard to believe.

 

At least its a show about cars. Better than watching Oprah or The Bachelorette.........

 

I don't for one minute believe their deadlines. It's always less than a week till an auction. Some how in 5 days two guys rebuild an entire car. The producers should be in the bridge selling business.

 

Sure...play that card.

 

i dont think that 68 f100 was a hack job seemed like it was built like any truck a guy would do in his garage.they but some money in that one.

Wow, I was just talking to my GF last night as we were watching the program that some of the cars are nice, but the main dude , I believe his name is Richard on the show is a total jerk. It is just too obvious he is ONLY in the program for the money not the classic cars... He has his bearded friend and others in the shop restore old american auto's in a mad rush for the next auto auction... and he seems to "always low ball" the sellers of the cars, giving excuses of why they are not worth what the seller wants then he purchases the auto's, put a little to sometimes a lot of money and sends them off to auction... Lets just say I would never do business with the jerk for parts or a complete car... This kind of dude gives "Car guys" a bad name.... I call him "Low baller jerk".... Keep this thread going, hope this so called new reality show will be off the air very soon.... He's a complete IDIOT..

 

They have a show? It doesn't come on any of my 3 channels.

 

Watch it for what it is, TV entertainment. It's just like watching wrestling, if you think it's real, you need to get a life. Like the previous posts say, at least it has cars and you get to see some "treasurers" you would not otherwise see.

 

Contrived deadlines... we HAVE to get this car ready for this auction coming up. The Lincoln was ridiculous... Had to do all that custom work to fit those wheels and tires. bleh.

 

No worries, it's a lost cause..
