Putting a nine bolt bronco rear end under my 35 ford. 35 ford spoked rims will not clear the bronco brake drums. any recommendations to get around this problem. want to keep the 35 spoked rims if possible. thanks, jim
You will need the spacers that have the wire wheel adapter ring machined in or you will have to get a set of adapter rings separate to support the center of your wires...
Thanks for the feedback. Another option is to put disc brakes on the bronco rear end. Can you blot a later model disc brake setup on a bronco rear end? What disc setup would I look for? Thanks
You can get a disc kit from wild horses bronco , but you might have issues with clearance, of the caliper, but it might be ok when the spacer if the spacer is on there.
You might want to go back to a Maverick. They are narrower than the Bronco and have smaller drums. A one inch adapter will mount the wires and the wires will clear the Maverick drums. The total width with the adapters will be the same as a stock 35 so the wheel won't stick out and look funny. The Maverick is plenty strong and the car will ride better due to the lower weight and will get better gas economy due to less drag and weight.
Putting Disc brakes on wont solve the problem, the caliper will still hit. I sell the adapters specifically for this, give me a call at 559-322-2128 Thanks Jimmy
