RoyalShifter's Vicky is so drop dead gorgeous, it has me rethinking my shoebox. Although I like the simplicity and kind of "less is more" look of mine, I am wondering if maybe it would look better with a simple spear type side moulding running down the side. Maybe 3/4 of the length or middle of the door back. I also want to add a set of Foxcraft skirts. So I am asking for some opinions and suggestions. Should I add side mouldings and Foxcraft skirts or leave it as is? I was thinking I had heard of people using the tri five chevy spears but, I'm not sure which style 110,210 Belair? I think they are available from the restoration suppliers so that makes them an easy to locate option. Has anybody used these on their Shoebox? I know there are a few other good options for side mouldings from other 50's cars but me finding a full set of nice trim around here woulnt be likely. So what do you think add side trim or leave it as is?
Sidetrim would MAKE that car. here's 50 buick, and 54 buick wagon. both would look amazing on your car.
Your car is drop dead gorgeous, but I agree that some trim would break up the sides a little. Skirts are a personal preference, and I can see that car with them or without them, both ways would look great. Don
