guys i'm setting up the brake system on my 38 'ford truck, 50' ford front with disc conversion, 9" drum rear. i do realize i need a MC around 1" any larger and pedal effort is excessive. since there is no pedal yet i was considering a under dash unit. (90 degree) anyone use any small MC setups? feedback. thanks:D

I just did some work on this 67 GTA that had manual discs w/dual piston calipers from the factory. Hope that helps

A lot will depend on the pedal ratio too. I've driven a lot of manual discs that stop just fine.

I worked on a 70's Chev van with non power disc,...factory, worked great. When I converted my 72 F100 to disc/drum, I kept the factory m/cyl, no power, works great.

    willowbillie,...I like that quote !!!!!

  5. looks like you have double threads going....I responded to the other one......15/16 inch Mustang MC (no power ***ist) works very well with disc/drum brakes........

I second krooser. This is what I used in my Model A Sedan with a standard GM dual master cylinder. It stops great with little effort (car weighs 2300lbs). In fact...Ebay has several pedals listed.

Pedal ratio already solved with this option.

I wouldn't go any less than a 6-1 pedal ratio with a 1" manual brake master. 7/8" is a better bet. The Wilwood 7/8" master has plenty of volume for large or multiple piston calipers.
