Thid weekend marked the 50th Anniversary of the New Zealand Hot Rod ***ociation. A show of huge proportions (for an NZ show) was put on with over 70 show cars on display. A lot are definitely not HAMB friendly so I won't bore you with them. There were a number of old rods built in the late '60's/ early '70's that are worth a look though. Nostalgia is in aye.
Even though these pics are posted in a public forum its a shame when somebody takes the time to bag someone's ride. In this case this car belonged to a long time Kiwi rodder who recently p***ed. His family take the time to continue on with his legacy and continue to use the car at events. Muttley this time you put your foot in your mouth.
Just to add, ratman, my comment "Can't win em all aye." was referring to the fact I was not going to post non hamb friendly cars, but seems it was me who failed. (in some eyes anyway)
Lifestylz I figured thats what you were referring to. Thanks again for posting the pic's mate. If they dont like what they see all they have to do is move on.
Kiwi shows are kickin' ****! Beach Hop, now this, a Great line-up of famous Kiwis. What a cool scene. Thanks LIFESTYLZ for posting.
You need to see the other side of the 32 to appreciate this side... Maybe somebody could provide a link to it ??? As for the baggers maybe they should look at some of the other pics as well. Thanks for the pics, it was an excellent show..
Bad taste is bad taste. The good thing about a discussion, be it vocal or written, is we can all express our opinions. You dont like my opinion? Move on.
The show is a great credit to all concerned. For us here in New Zealand where we do not have the large population base like our USA friends the purity of various styles does not a have the depth here. All these cars represent hard work and a genuine effort to pursue the sport / hobby. We do not have a great selection of "cheque Book" rodders here downunder so the results we see here are from people who hold a p***ion My hat goes off to all concerned
I didn't see one thing that anyone would be ashamed of, great line up of cars keep up the great work. you should see some of the pos over here
I disagree. We have plenty of chequebook rodders here. Rods by Reid, Magoos, Kruzin Kustoms, Juniors, Coxy and quite a few more would not be in business if we didn't. There are quite a few cars around that run over $200K.
