I've searched for HOURS on HAMB, Fordbarn, and some other sites and not really found answers for model A measurements other than dead links, references to frame drawings, and "go buy a restoration manual" that won't have your measurements. Kevin Lee asked the question in 2005 and got the best answer - someone with a tape measure and a camera. Check this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41604 I am creating a note file that I will turn into a thread here on the HAMB with all of the measurements I couldn't (easily) find once I get my Sport Coupe ***embled. Without subrails it is almost impossible to determine what the measurements are - but I wasn't spending $300 on rails that would get cut up to channel the car. Tyson
I just went down to the garage and measured my '1930 model A coupe: B pillar to B pillar at the forward edge (the door opening) at top of subrail = 41" inside to inside. Horizontally width of each B pillar at the top of the subrail from the inside of the forward edge (door opering) to the outside of the body skin = 1 13/16". Total width outside to outside B pillars at top of subrail should be 44 5/8".
