Cool. Yeah , my friends all went and I was unable to go. (Screemin Mimi Pontiac, GoatRoper Pontiac, Suiciede King Studebaker, Duece Bag Chevy II) Im shure they had a blast. I have never been able to go. But they tell me its the best race.

  12. Spent the last hour reading all the posts. All ready making plans for next year.Looks like a ton of fun for 30 bucks and an 800 mile haul. Will add a willys or anglia to next years race list.

  17. Your car was one of the best cars to watch come down the strip, that thing got loose and it didnt seem like you let up on it. Great runs!

How much track prep was there?

  19. The track was sticky enough that i broke the third member in my car and twisted an axle. We still had a blast.

'55 was wicked powerful. That burnout was baby-funny car material.

  27. I know that people have been gushing over this event for a long time and Im here to say there is a great reason for that, this is the best event I have been to yet! There were tons of Gasers, customs, FED's, mini bikes, people and the smell of burning rubber the whole day long!

If you were there you know what im talking about, if you were not there then you now have a year to get it together and be a part of the action next year.! Kudos to the fugitives for putting on this outstanding event and once again saying one of the best statements I have heard in a long time at the drivers meeting "we want this to look like a drag strip back in 1966!" That says it all and that's what happend hands down!

Some more pics for your viewing pleasure!

Swap meet was light and I am somewhat surprised because the amount of people they had yesterday some sellers could have done some business.

Still here today and having a great time and what an event, this was worth the drive that is for sure.
