I know this may seem a bit too new for some of the ******** traditionalist, but can anyone tell me when the T-70 was originally released ??? Thanks, ScottV
One of my favorite wheels, I just wish they made them in a wider variety of sizes. They remind me of an Indy / sprint / sports racer style wheel, but are a LOT cheaper. Gary
Vintage American Racing catalog is dated 9/70 and has a T70 pictured within. What month 1969 Hot Rod Mag was that w/ "what's new"?
they came out in late 1969 never made of magnesium 14x7,14x8,15x7,15x8 , they went away in early 1971, sometimes you wonder what american racing was thinking back then , they let a lot of good stuff leave
I've been thinking about filing the ribs off the new T70r wheels to make them more like the old ones. And having a pair narrowed. That's big money , lots of time and I think I'm sick. Lol
I really like the ribs. And would also want some (non-functional) knockoffs for looks. If anyone knows of a shop that can narrow them, please PM me. Gary
Eric Vaughn narrowed my T70s and swore he would never do another set. He said they were more toxic than a spitting cobra. You could try Lonnie Gilbertson in Portland OR.... www.lonniesplace.com
If you want T70 s nothing else will do. If you like that old T70 vibe , need them narrow, custom backspace or anything else, well these are worth a look. US mags ( Indy) http://www.mhtwheels.com/mht-luxury-alloy-brand.cfm?id=644
