Event Coverage Bonneville 2012 Roll call!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, Jun 2, 2012.

  1. Packing camping gear. I am tickled my pal Randy is coming out for the first weekend!

  2. Sorry I missed your call Trent, having dinner at friends. Tried calling you last night and my phone completely died on me, had to buy a new one today. I hate getting used to a new phone.

Got the Alaskan all ready yesterday, I'll under coat the F-350 with PAM just before I leave.

Unfortunately not this year -- but Z would probably love to get the chance to take a run with it again in the future. She was a natural behind the wheel...

Will be there. Ready to pop my salt cherry after years of saying I would. I finally get to run the great white dyno. It felt great just typing those two sentences. Can't wait.......

I would really like to make the BBQ so I can meet all the HAMBers. When is the car show on Friday night, and is this at the same time?

  11. You will have time for both. Folks will be at the hotels all evening. The car show is not an organized show. Just tons of hotrods gathered at the hotels.

  12. I think he could sell tickets to finance his trip. ;) I want a ride too.

Yes Sir and I bought Bob, his own perfect little head sock to wear, which has the Flat-Top already made into the sock....

I tried looking through the thread for some answers, but if you guys do not mind I have some questions. First time to go, I will be coming from Houston on my bike and plan to camp along the way and once I get there. Are there plenty of areas to camp? I have read there is a designated camping area, do I have to worry about finding a spot? Also, are there food and drinks being sold out there, or should I bring what I need? Are there gas stations nearby or is the nearest Wendover? Thanks ahead of time for any responses, hope to meet a few of you out there.

  28. Camping for the most part is just a "pitch your tent" kind of a deal at the bend in the road. Don't worry about not enough space, you'll be fine. I cannot think of any food or drinks being sold out on the salt, but there is a gas station a couple miles from where the road ends onto the salt, and Wendover is just a few miles beyond that.

Better as the night continued...did the vid I posted not show up? I have some tuning to yet, but it starts EASY...with starter or by hand! :D

Thanks Mazooma! We will be there for the BBQ at the Bend and the Nugget Friday night..

....and you'll hear this one coming

Sinclair=gas station truck stop showers c store beer mex restaurant. At exit 4 on rt 80. one mile before you get to the bend in the road for camping. It's a huge area, both sides of the road. No reservations. find a spot and it's yours. Complementary Fire Works every night.

There is breakfast and lunch at the SALT at the red flame grill. Good Food. And other vendors for ice, cold fruit, and fried stuff.
