  1. Whoever did the repaint probably put that license plate frame on there. It may have been driven to high school by one of the kids at some point.

Real nice looking car. I may want to look for mud in the rockers and other sheet metal parts if it were me but I have an inherent distrust for people in general.

  2. I had to look at this one twice... I thought it was the same car I found a couple months ago but it isn't, the one I found is a low mile Buick Super 4 door with original paint.

Are you basing that on the underhood and motor appearance ?

Could've been worse. When you said Nephew, I envisioned a younger kid who would unceremoniously paint the Buick flat black, ditch the wheel covers/paint the wheels red and add skulls, multese crosses and spider webs everywhere (to match the chain license plate frames).

Chances are the new owner will get tired of it and unload it in due time. I'd be typing "1953 Buick" in the local Craigslist search box every day for the next year. For some reason, few people seem to phone folks that leave a number behind (for a sure sale) in favor of making a quick open market sale.

Off the kid. Call granny and tell her it'll cost 3000$ to dispose of it due to haz-mat nowadays...but you'll do it for free...

Yup- I'd lie to an old woman for a ride like that.

God the thought of a non-believer touching it...brrr!
