As I recall it was only $40 for the whole week....I don't know how much per day. The SCTA workers stop you when you enter the flats and collect the $ and answer your questions.

BLM was cracking down on fireworks last year. With the drought I would expect them to be tougher this year.. Also, the BLM does not like glass containers IE beer bottles in their recreation areas.

Yup. Just like any race track I've been to. Glass is dangerous.

Truck stop has cans. Smith's in town has cans. Or bring your own. Ice is cheap there. Keep the cooler covered with a big towel. Smith's has dry ice, too.

 

Keep your eyes open for me and Jim,JustplainJ....We'll be cruisin around all week
,and camping at the Bend.

 

Dont use the showers at that truck stop, the bathrooms are filthy and so are the showers and they are crowded with long lines of people waiting. I go into Wendover and use the Flying J truck stop showers. Nice and clean, they give you a towel and they are air conditioned.

 

Bob, you need to talk Chris (Dullchrome) into coming out with you. He needs to see this first hand.

It really would be neat to have all 3 on the salt together. The '46 is certainly cool (didn't know you had that either) and would be neat to see....but I'm crossin' my fingers you bring the T

YEEEEEEHHAAAAAWWW. I just got a job, so I'm going for sure. After a great interview, I asked, "Thanx for the job, now I need to ask for a couple days off...". Luckily the owner is a Hot Rodder, and he said "Sure". So see ya' on the salt. And after last year, I may be on the high side across the street from the "Bend in the Road".

 

As much as I want Speedweek to come, don't rush it. I'm trying to have my house remodel complete!

 

Fatkoop(Nick), Pete's Junk (Pete Stringer), and myself will be leaving Thursday with the Pueblo Boys. We'll be running around in Lulu (Pete's old 35 Ford panel). Some of you may remember it from LSRU when we drove it from Denver to Austin last year.
