454 conversion is it possible

    hey guys so i was just wondering if you could take a 1991 chevy 454 big block fuel injected and convert it over to a carb? has anyone done this or has info about this? thanks

  2. Sure why couldn't you? just buy an intake and an earlier distributer and you are there.

  10. Well you probably will need a couple wrenches and some gaskets. But I used to know a fat guy that was a pretty good mechanic so I am not sure that a diet is necessary.

    But yes easy squeezy. Its just nuts and bolts, if I can do it anyone can.

    Yep, you will have to do something about the fuel pump situation. If it's going into another vehicle you just need to get a proper electric pump that will work with the carb.

    should not have to change the intake if you dont want to, should have a spread bore carb pattern with an adapter to TBI. You can replace the adapter with a carb adapter.
