I could use some help on this.

66 Ford pickup, 6 cylinder (240), 1 barrel carburetor, there is no tag on the carb so I do not have a model number.

My pickup started running rough yesterday. I thought there might be some water/garbage in the fuel bowl.
This evening I removed the carburetor, removed the screws and took the top off the carb., there was some sediment in the bottom of the bowl so I dumped it out.
Apparently there is some ball checks that go in the lower half of the carb ***emble, also at least one weight.....
They fell out when I dumped the fuel bowl out.

I found 4 balls and one weight.

What I need to know is,
Did I find all the check balls? (3 shown in the diagram)
Are there more weights? (1 shown in the diagram)
    Where do they go?

I found a diagram on line. It only shows 3 balls and one weight.

Scroll down to the 6th carburetor diagram.

Thanks, I really appreciate the help

It shows 4 check balls. Did you see the one to the left of the float?

Ok, the weighted one; that's a one way check valve for the pump squirter, AKA accel pump discharge nozzle :)

Its typically not a good idea to turn a carb upside down...Theres 3 together towards the botttom and one 5 pieces below the top of the carb.

Okay, yes I see the one to the left of the float now.
It looks like possibly rest on top of the "L" shaped rod. I look to see if it is missing.

    Thanks!!

    I learned something today.

I went and picked up a kit for the carb today.

The diagram in the kit showed where the 4 balls go that fell out.
There is actually 5 balls in this carb.
One on each side of the bowl, (accelerator pump and dash pot)
one on each side of the venturi, Kind of diagonal,
Then the one that you guys pointed out to me.

I installed the kit and the truck runs really good now.
    Thanks for your help
