This pic was taken in 1956. The F100 had a 345 ci Cad in it. It had 3 Bendix carbs, a vertex mag and a Harmon Collins roller cam. LaSalle transmission.

    Caddy Mills? I have a couple and projects they are going into. 1-365 3-390 1-425 2-472 and 1-500 27T 32 Pick up 34 5W 35 pick up 35 5W 46 coupe

  9. 500 Cadillac in my '49 Cad. When I was younger I pored over the Motors manuals, the Cad stuck out as the leader in torque and very high in horsepower. I had to eventually get one. I should have gathered some up when I got mine 20 years ago, as they were plentiful and cheap then.
Thinking about the 331 in my '49 four door parts car. I think I should run it. It is the early year one with the center bolt valve covers like an Olds.

  10. nothing as cool as most on this thread. just an old 54 GMC work truck running a 55 Cad 331 with a 58 ElDorado tri-power installed 7-1-67 with 83,000 miles. never been back on the road. still has 83,000 on the motor. should be on the road next month. I've owned 5 cars with 331 cads but this is my first stick shift Caddy. running a GM 3 speed with overdrive

I put a 500 in a 69 Chevy pickup back in the 90s. That thing ran like crazy and turned my tires into butter and smoke!! Lotta fun but with a 4.56 gear not very practical

I have a 1956 fiberglass sports car special under restoration with a 1953 331 and a LaSalle. It sits on a highly modified 1950 Ford chassis. Check out my album for photos.
