I am looking to lowwer the rear of my belair. I am running lowwering blocks and I am not happy at all with how high it still is. I am not looking to run bags, or get crazy with fabrication...unless i really have to. Are there any ways to get the *** to come down, on the factory leafs or anything of the sort... anyone???
IS it still the factory drivetrain? if not - swap the rear end to one that has a perch on the bottom or if it is factory maybe you could put perches on the bottom? not sure about that one. on mine we put a newer drivetrain in it- the 10 bolt rear had spring perches on the bottom, we put 3 inch blocks on it and i was pretty happy with the height.
Eaton Springs there out of detroit. Call them up and theyll send some de arched springs I beleve 3 inch drop is the max. then stick the blocks back on and that sh*t will sit on theground !!!
On my 53 Pontiac I used stock leafs, and 3 inch blocks with a Nova 10 bolt rear, on my car now i have air to get it lower yet. My next door neighbour has up till recently ben running the original rear and such so his had de-arced springs, reversed eyes and 4 inch blocks, but when you go that low you will need to do a lil c-notch in the frame so it doesnt rattle your fillings loose on the potholes.
