Awe c'mon, you've had such good luck with Crites so far. Let me pull one of my Fairlane Club mags out and see if someone else makes em' I'm thinking that Dearborn Cl***ics and others sell them. They may be Crites parts though. Be right back.
Well I feel like Sgt Schultz. I SEE NOTHING! Looks like Autokrafters and the others get it from Crites.
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Big-Block-Ford-Current-Big-Block-Motor-Mount,1198.html This might work out if you want a kit.
I have to say crites, I have done several Falcons, Comets and Fairlanes......maybe Holman Moody. You could try one of the Mustang tuner people, they stuff 460s into a lot of fox bodies
Wayne;I think you may be better off making you own.I would think it should not be too hard with your straight axle clearing up all that space!!!I know Speedway makes mounts mounted to a cross member, maybe they have something. How about the 4X4 shops,a lot of them put 385 series engines where small blocks once lived!! ROY.
I hate to promote something from Speedway but it would genereally do the job... Are you going solid or rubber mounted?
Hey roy when I make my mounts do i have to use any rubber or urthane bushing ? I'm kinda wanting like in the picture below ,without the bushing
Wayne421, Just finished putting a 429 in a 64 Galaxie. We made our own solid mounts. Bolt a plate to the engine & one to the frame. With bellhousing & trans mocked in place, bolt trans to crossmember to locate ***embly front / back & left / right in car. Adjust engine hoist to fine tune motor location and angle. Tack 1/4" round bars of length as needed between the motor & frame plates at the four corners. Remove motor with tacked up mounts, fill in the four sides of mounts with 12 ga plate cut to fit & weld soild. Pretty straightforward process & makes nice inexpensive mounts too. Good luck Worken2much
Wayne;the nice thing about the bushing is it will give some vibration isolation but can not pull apart!! We did some very similar on a highboy roadster I built for some friends.Worken2much's idea will work well for solid mounts.I built my own solid mounts for my Comet, just mimicked the stock mount, but out of steal plate!!Either way you need to get the engine/trans set where you want it first!!!!
