    How important is swaybar stiction in relation to the m*** of the car? I'm trying a newer "performance" swaybar pivot material that is supposed to be between the too soft factory rubber and the stiff commonly available poly material. It's a blue material, I can't remember the mfg off hand.

    The bar is tight in the pivots with the endlinks disconnected, but not so tight I can't move it up and down by hand with heavy muscle applied. I used the supplied lube at the install and have a couple thousand miles on the pivot bushings.

    The truck is heavy and in relation to the spring rate and damping rate I suspect the stiction is too small to be a factor?

    What is the difference in the coefficient of friction between the factory and the new material?

    There should be little to no stiction at the bushing. The bushing should just hold the bar in place and should have no bearing on the swaybar rate. My ***umption is the bushings are too small. I have a couple OT racecars and I use teflon material on one and rubber bushings on the other, neither take very much force to move the swaybar when disconnected from the arms. I’ve even seen roller bearings used in a few cars. FWIW.

    Stiction = binding.

    Something is too tight.

    Thanks guys, I think if found the booger. The bushings are available in 1.125" and 1.250" I probably screwed the pooch and bought the 1.125" by mistake. New ones are ordered, thanks for the help.
