Picked up the 235 last night I hope to put in my 52 hardtop. Currently it has a 216 babbit pounder and i hoped to get a 235 pressure engine. Found this one and PO said it was a 58 and ran good. I picked it up late lastn ight and started lookign at the numbers todad. The block has 3837004 which I think is 1956 truck.? It also had D 17 6 which I think means it was built in 56. Head has B38 848 and 850 on it. Now would this motor be a good one to use and how much trouble will it be to mount it in the car?

Thanks and I am sorry if these have been answered 100 times before. <!--POLLS--><!--FILES--><!--SIGNATURE-->

date code is April 17 1956, so it probably is a 56 truck block. Does it have the necessary mounting holes to put it in your car?

Think I have to do some work on the engine mounts to make it work. Thanks

i swapped a 1948 216 truck engine with a 1962 235 truck engine and everything bolted up, no problems.
