So what kind of cars have you seen speed shop owners advertise with? On Friday I saw a Nissan Cube. Kind of thought it looked out of place advertising for a hotrod shop. Just my thoughts, what about yours?

In the early 60s, Hank's Speed Shop Berwyn Pa. used a chopped and channeled, fenderless 32 Ford woody wagon Probably a home made version with the Deuce grill but it lit my fire back then. I think they just bought it and painted their name on it but it was still cool.I've seen a couple of pictures of similar hotrods but there is no telling if any of them were the one from back in the day.

    [IMG] similar to this.

Not sure I understand the question...so you saw the owner of a speed shop driving around in a Nissan, with a sign on the side? There could be many reasons - maybe he sells speed parts for them, maybe it was his wife's car, maybe he wanted a personal vehicle with a/c and room for the kids.

Jim Kilpatrick and Pat Spangenberg come to mind in my neck of the woods.
