Hi, I need your advice on this one, I found an offenhauser triple deuce intake for sbc along with 3 ford/holley (94) ecg carburators with progressive linkage. I want to use this on my 62 sbc 327 300hp, is this a good setup for my engine? I'm kinda useless when it come to carbs but I know for sure I want to have this kit instead of a regular 4 barrels on my hot rod!

Who's the best for having them rebuild? Is there a website for all the specs for these carburators? Carbs gurus I want to hear you! Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!

Can't give you advice as to rebuilds as I run Holleys and do my own rebuilds and stuff.

I would run it, but I have Tri Power on my 352. The old 3x2 intakes are not gonna make the same power as a 650 or 700 DP on that engine, nor will the power band be as smooth. But they will work well and look cool as hell.

ECGs are rated @ 180 CFM, so it should work on your 327, just a matter if you want to run one or two as primarys.

Had that same setup in the sixties. Had lots of trouhble with it (probably fuel pressure related). Finally gave up on the 94's and re-drilled the manifold for small base Rochester 2GC's and it worked much better. From what I can see from your pictures, the manifold has the large carburetor pads that will easily accomodate the larger carburetors. Three 2GC's might be too much for a 283, but should be fine with a 327.

I know a guy that has 3 97s on a 284" FH and runs all 3 all the time and it runs good. If you run non progressive you won't have to mess with getting the end carbs to shut off completely at idle and you won't have to plug the idle mixture screws. There are several guys on the Ford Barn that will do a great job on the carbs.
