FNG here. Bought my spinners for my salt flats from lug nut king, mentioned above. Not billet alum, don't say american racing, bolted up just fine. I think $80, instead of 350 or 500 like American wanted. Buy from him again in a blink.

What would you sell 'em for. Brand new never been used...nuts? I hate to say it but in this hobby you win some and you lose some. What was the parts store and was it your only source. I usually go to a wholesaler for that stuff, you get it at the parts store cost. But, do post the name of the store,if you haven't already.

It pisses me off when they sell them in a package of 4 and you always need 5. Just saying!

Was autozone. O'reillys didn't have them. It was after 530, so all the other parts stores were closed. Just bought a set of tires today so tomorrow I'm going back to the tire shop. For what I paid for the tires the nuts should be thrown in.

I just bought 10 lug nuts
Only need 6 but I was thinking
Nice new nuts for both back wheels
I had other stuff so I didn't know what I payed until I got home. I almost went back. But the nuts were cheaper then the gas.

F$ckers we should hang them by there BALLS

I just looked on Rockauto and they range from .14 cents to .78 cents each for Ford 1/2-20 thread zinc plated lug nuts.

  14. How much are them there nuts you hang under the back, and does that include the sac?

A seller on ebay (lugnutguys) sells new ones for $10 for a set of 20, regular open ended style. Thats who I bought mine from after checking prices at the parts store.

Was looking for chrome acorn type nuts a couple years ago, nobody had any in the stores so i went to a little independant tire place. the guy had a couple five gallon buckets of lugnuts. he dumped one over and we dug through till we found enough of the chrome ones I wanted....he gave them to me. I tried to pay him and he looked at about 100 pounds of lugnuts and laughed. I also was looking for some chrome trim rings, he had STACKS of them out back. Found what I needed for about $2 each.

My problem is that most lugnuts are 'Hecho in China' and I do not trust their steel alloys. I have had the threads strip out without overtorqueing them - I always use a torque wrench and torque them to manufacturer's specs....

Any store that sells Dorman stuff should have them - Summit sells a set of 25 7/16-20 for $18.95. Should be able to get them at the local parts house for less.

That is totally crazy ! What the hell were they made of anyway ? I would never pay that much for a damn lug nut !
If you don't like the way the old ones look , then a $3.50 can of Krylon spray paint will take care of that problem real fast ! That's what I did on my 55 Ford when I first bought it . Lasted for years too .
I also keep the lug nuts from all the cars . i never throw something good away because you never know when you might need one someday . I still have some from my 37 Plymouth pick-up . They have the threads & lug nut all in one piece .

Went into Les Schwab last week and bought 10 1/2-20 chromed acorns for $1 apiece plus tax. Open ones were $0.59 each. They had hundreds of them.

I guess if you're in a pinch you gotta pay what you gotta pay. Cheapest I have ever seen was 20 bucks for 20, then I checked rockauto like some of these guys said, and yep! They had closeout wagner lugnuts for 14 cents each. I just ordered a set for under 9 bucks including shipping! Couldn't p*** it up event though I really don't need em right now.

There's always Wally World for $2.50 for a pack of 5 chrome or stock, they torqued down fine and I have had them on and off several times on my U.S. Mags.

Bingo. I'd pay that much if I knew they were as good as the originals, not made of ****,and looked pretty.

  28. 2.50 a beer 5.00 a shot , 5.00 a pack, 2.00 a soda, 4.00 a burger, 3.00 for ice cream. 2.00 a gallon milk , 4.00 a gallon gas ..... all those will be gone by morning. 2.50 a lug nut seems about right.

Now you want to keep better track of your nuts,,not leave on the floor or misplace them. Seems most of the aftermarket stuff is ****,,,even the shiny chrome ones start to rust as soon as you torque 'em down
