Well, just bought this one, runs, drives fine, just needs gas tank repaired and a master cylinder. Now to sell my 1948 Plymouth!
One of my favorites too. My grandparents bought a new one in 1948 along with a new 1948 one ton Chevy truck.
Got all the parts and some stainless bars for making a custom grill. Hubcaps are in the trunk. Gas tank is nasty. Gonna get a new one. Mustang 2 front end. 9 inch rear. Dropping 2 in rear, maybe 3 in front.... Not sure On that! Shaving all stainless and handles and locks.... Hmmm , what else?? Welding rear fenders and flares and leading them in. Gonna go an Chevy and a t5 trans. Gonna check on widening rear wheel wells for a but wider tire. Also shaving bumpers and putting pans into to smooth it all out. Advice is appreciated !!! Been outta the scene too long, gotta find a lot of sources.
Looks like a great car to get started with, a lot of stuff available to do everything you want to do with it. Have fun!
Thanks fellas....gonna gather the floor pans for a start in the winter. I've found direct sheetmetal and think they have most of what i need. Does anyone know if there is a place that makes a front roll pan for elimionating the bumper? *****in products makes the rear roll pan, but haven't found one for the front.
