1952 Buick Special Gabrial High Jakcers

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mitchell de Moor, Aug 2, 2012.

  1. What part number Gabrial High Jackers would be needed for a '52 Buick Special?

    Thanks!

    None of those Mitch,

You will need Gabriel # 44934 for 79 to 87 Monte Carlo, Cutl*** regal etc... I used stock Cutl*** springs and shocks all round on my 53 Buick Special and on a 56 Buick Roadmaster convertible I built.

  3. Will the #44934's be a direct bolt in? As far as I know his Buick is stock.

Doesn't your '52 Buick have lever action shocks in back? If the levers are not leaking too bad, refill with OE shock oil, hydraulic oil or experiment with different weights of motor oil until you get the amount of dampening you want. Usually the "tie rod" joint that goes up to the frame is loose and rattles.
If you are going to fabricate mounts for HyJackers then you have to measure extended and compressed length so they will not bind and break the mounts or shock.

  6. It's not my car so I'm not sure. I puy hyJackers and and Air Lift compressor in my '56 Ford and my friend wants the same set up in his Buick. Just trying to track down some part numbers.
